Testimonials

"Stuart has been an AMAZING tutor for our autistic daughter. She has struggled for years to pick up maths in a classroom setting, with her ASD. She has even been called lazy by one teacher, who failed to see that she just couldn’t grasp even the basics of maths, such as telling the time and writing her numbers the correct way. Stuart tutored her all the way through year 11, and she has just sat her final maths GCSE paper. She is the second of our daughters Stuart has tutored. Our daughter has continued to grow in confidence and understanding under Stuart’s tutelage. She came out of each exam feeling happy and confident that she had done well. Stuart’s never ending patience, kindness and willingness to revisit problem areas meant that our daughter has really progressed and caught up over the past year. This became evident to us when she started doing the maths challenges when we watched “8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.” That may seem silly to some, but as parents raising an autistic child who has always struggled with even the basics of maths, this was an amazing leap forward. We are grateful beyond words for Stuart’s incredible support, patience and experience over the past year. He is an excellent tutor and we will no doubt use him again when our 10 year old reaches KS4. We also used his services when our now 22 year old was sitting her GSCE’s, and did not hesitate to reach out to him this time. We’re particularly grateful for the support and flexibility he offered as our daughter struggles with chronic migraines in addition to her SEND needs. Thank you for everything Stuart. Alex couldn’t have come so far without you."

“ Stuart has been an invaluable part of our son’s home schooling throughout his GCSE and A level courses. We needed professional help during prolonged illness. Stuart worked closely with our teachers at  St John School Leatherhead during this time when our son was unable to attend full time. Our son is now studying sciences at University and still retains great enthusiasm for the subjects taught by Stuart. Thank you! ”

"Stuart has been an absolute Godsend to our two girls throughout their GCSEs.  The eldest was not a natural at maths and science but he helped her achieve good passes, which we were thrilled about.  He has encouraged and inspired our younger daughter so much so that, having achieved excellent results at GCSE, she is going on to study maths and biology at A-level with his continued support.  Stuart is such an enthusiastic and gifted teacher and our girls have always really appreciated and valued his help."

"When I started my GCSEs, I was getting 4s and D/C grades in science, but with his help, I managed to turn things around and achieved 7s/As across all the sciences. Thanks to his support, I even went on to study Chemistry at A level—and once again, he helped me pass with flying colours. Stuart made such a difference in my learning that my brother is now having lessons with him too! If you’re struggling with science or maths, I 100% recommend Stuart to help you reach your dream grades!"

"Stuart was brilliant when he tutored my son, who was in year 11 at the time. He was incredibly patient: explaining all my son’s misconceptions in both science and maths and gave helpful hints in what he could do in-between sessions and what websites to go on. My son went on to get 5s in both subjects and subsequently managed to get into the sixth form he wanted. Stuart was efficient and organised and my son actually enjoyed the sessions! I would 100% recommend Stuart."

"Stuart has been a very precious resource these past two years in helping me through my A levels. I hadn’t really comprehended how big the jump was from GCSEs to A levels, so it was a nasty surprise when I started, but thanks to Stuart I was able to stay afloat. He came at least once a week and either cemented my understanding of a topic or re-taught it to me so I could have solid foundations in my subjects. He taught me to think like a scientist, and thanks to his help through my exams, I am going to University this year to become a Paramedic. Without him, I have serious doubts whether I could have got the grades needed to get in. I will always appreciate all the support I received from Stuart, thanks!!"
